After Christmas in Germany

However, the spirit of Christmas does not stop at the walls of Strasbourg: it also takes hold of the entire region, extending to the other side of the Rhine. Just as charming as our Alsatian markets, the German markets are well worth a visit, and in fact, they extend the festive period until January, offering plenty of opportunities to liven up your Christmas holidays.
Christmas holidays in the Black Forest:
- The magnificent illuminations of the Valley of 1000 Lights are visible until 6th January 2025
- The charming Ettlingen Christmas Market, or Sternlesmarkt, is open until 29th December
- In the heart of the mountains, the Baden-Baden Christmas Market is open until 6th January 2025
