The Village of Sharing
As it does every year, the City of Strasbourg supports local associations by welcoming them to the foot of the Grand Sapin Christmas tree. This tradition provides an opportunity to share, listen and discover the associations, fostering a spirit of solidarity during the festive season.
- Christmas for everyone
For this new edition, nearly 110 associations, gathered within 14 chalets, will be there to share and exchange around the values they uphold every day: helping the most vulnerable, supporting social inclusion, assisting people affected by illness or disability, providing humanitarian aid, promoting international sponsorship, and defending human rights and animal welfare.
- 32 solidarity and charitable associations working to provide access to basic needs and support social inclusion
- 36 associations dedicated to humanitarian aid or international sponsorship
- 18 associations supporting vulnerable individuals and families affected by illness or disability
- 5 associations defending human rights and advocating for vulnerable groups
- 4 service clubs
- 6 associations promoting civic participation and popular education
- 9 associations focused on animal welfare and the human-animal bond
The Village of Sharing also hosts several not-to-be-missed events, including the Volunteer Day and the Solidarity Mannele (Dec 5), Living Christmas Together (Dec 20), and the famous Starry Soup.
