A Christmas of solidarity and commitment

Strasbourg with a big heart

Under the sparkling lights of Place Kléber and its iconic Great Christmas Tree, Strasbourg proudly upholds its spirit of solidarity and commitment. True to its values of humanity and sharing, Strasbourg, the Capital of Christmas, shines a light on those who work towards a fairer and more caring world.

Here, the magic of Christmas is also expressed through simple, generous gestures — donations, collections, exchanges, encounters and community actions. Visitors are invited to consume differently, to support local initiatives, and to discover collective projects led by Strasbourg’s vibrant network of associations, which keeps the city’s heart beating all year long.

Place Kléber, a powerful symbol of this generosity, hosts the Village du Partage — a true space for meeting and exchanging ideas, where associations, volunteers and citizens come together around shared values. There, visitors can enjoy solidarity-themed events, participatory workshops, ethical craft stalls, the “Soup of the Stars”, and warm moments of togetherness open to everyone.

For its second edition, the Solidarity Tree invites the people of Strasbourg to offer a moment of joy to 300 children in vulnerable situations.

Because in Strasbourg, human warmth is the brightest light of all, the city’s Solidarity Christmas reminds us that the celebration finds its true meaning when it is shared.
