Museums in celebration
Art, heritage and wonder

In Strasbourg, Christmas is also celebrated through heritage and museum collections. The city, true to its label as a City of Arts and Crafts, transforms its museums into veritable places of celebration and discovery. Combining history, art and traditions, each establishment offers a programme that includes unique exhibitions, guided tours, family workshops and concerts, so that young and old alike can explore the cultural richness of the Christmas capital from a new angle.
The collections come to life and the palaces are illuminated in a way that tells their stories differently: paintings, sculptures and antique objects come to life in a warm and magical atmosphere, where each piece invites wonder and curiosity. Visitors can discover the historical treasures of Strasbourg and Alsace, while immersing themselves in the world of crafts and arts that have made the city famous for centuries.
Through these festivities, Strasbourg offers visitors a total immersion in its history, art and heritage, while celebrating local know-how and contemporary creativity. The museums become spaces for meeting and sharing, where you can stroll, learn and marvel at the lights, sounds and stories told in each room. Christmas at the museum in Strasbourg is a Christmas where art and tradition come together to offer unique and memorable experiences.
