Traveling by Tour Bus

Travel as a group and arrive right in the heart of the magic. Dedicated parking lots (Parc de l’Étoile) + access on foot or by tram to reach the markets in 15 minutes.

There are several drop-off points designated for tour buses, from which you can reach the city center and the Christmas markets on foot or by tram. Your transportation company will provide you with details on the various options available, depending on your drop-off location.

Drop-off at Parc de l'Étoile - Bus Station

The city center is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. The Christmas Market around the Cathedral and the Quai des Délices are just a few meters away on foot if you head toward Place d’Austerlitz, then Place du Corbeau, and pass under the “Strasbourg, Capital of Christmas” arch.

If you’d like to take public transportation, head to the Etoile-Bourse tram stop right next to the bus station, and take one of the following two trams:

  • Tram A, toward Parc des Sports
  • Tram D, toward Poteries

Drop-off on Pierre Pflimlin Boulevard

The city center is just a few tram stops away. Head toward the European Parliament, take Tram E toward Campus d'Illkirch, and get off at the République stop. From there, it’s just a few meters’ walk to the historic “Chrìstkìndelsmärik” Christmas Market.

A shuttle service via a small tourist train to downtown Strasbourg is available, but only by reservation for groups of at least 20 people. The fare is €5 per person for a round trip (one-way trips are not available). The service is available on the following dates: November 28, 29, and 30, as well as December 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21.

Drop-off at Sturm Pier

This drop-off point allows you to walk to Place Broglie—where the historic "Chrìstkìndelsmärik" Christmas Market is located.

Drop-off at Gustave Adolphe Hirn Street (access ramp to the Matthis Bridge)

This drop-off point is located just a few steps from Louise Weiss Square! Cross the Emile Matthis Bridge and head toward the Ponts Couverts and the Vauban Dam to reach the heart of Petite France, where the Christmas Market of the Irréductibles Petits Producteurs d'Alsace and the Advent Village will welcome you.

Information for Coach Operators

The main drop-off point is at Parc de l’Étoile. If that location is full, we ask that you use the drop-off area on Boulevard Pierre Pflimlin as your first option (no permit required). Drop-off at Quai Sturm and Rue Gustave Adolphe Hirn is available by permit only. It is also possible to drop off passengers without a permit at Quai Marc Bloch (please note, however, that the height is limited to 3.50 meters).

Buses should park at the Elsau P+R. If that location is full, you may park—only on Saturdays and only for buses without passengers—at the Zénith Strasbourg Europe bus parking lot, accessing it exclusively via Rue des Fortins. From there, you can reach the city center via Tram F (toward Place d’Islande) or Tram A (toward Illkirch Graffenstaden).

If necessary, you will be directed to an alternative parking lot.
