By tram or by bus
All tram lines are in service, except the stations Langstross Grand’Rue, Broglie and Alt Winmärik, which are not served during the opening hours of the markets, from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Bus lines crossing the Grande-Île will be diverted. All relevant information is available on the website of the Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS).
The nearest stations to the Christmas markets are:

Dogs are welcome on CTS trams (except for those classified as dangerous under Article L211-16 of the French Rural Code). They must be kept on a short lead and muzzled. Small dogs may also travel in a closed carrier. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are exempt from wearing a muzzle.
From the railway station
The city centre is about a ten-minute walk from the station. By following Rue du Maire Kuss, you can reach the Christmas Market of the Uncompromising Little Alsatian Producers, the Advent Village on Square Louise Weiss, and the OFF Market on Place Grimmeissen.
If you prefer to use public transport, you have several options:
- Tram A (access via the underground level of the station), direction Campus d’Illkirch or Graffenstaden
- Tram D (access via the underground level of the station), direction Port du Rhin or Kehl Rathaus
- Tram C (access via the North Hall), direction Neuhof Rodolphe Reuss
You can get off at the tram stations Ancienne Synagogue - Les Halles (A, D) and Faubourg de Saverne (C) to reach the Christmas Markets.
From the international coach station (Parc de l'Étoile)
The city centre is about a fifteen-minute walk from the coach station. The Christmas Market around the Cathedral and the Quai des Délices are only a few steps away — head towards Place d’Austerlitz, then Place du Corbeau, and pass through the “Porte des Lumières Strasbourg Capitale de Noël.”
If you wish to take public transport, go to the tram station Étoile-Bourse, located right next to the coach station, and take one of the following trams:
- Tram A, direction Parc des Sports
- Tram D, direction Poteries
Please note: the Christmas Markets are within walking distance from both the railway and coach stations. You can also get off at the stations République (C, E, F), Ancienne Synagogue - Les Halles (A, D), Faubourg National (B, F) and Porte de l’Hôpital (A, D) to reach the nearby Christmas Markets on foot.
From the park-and-ride facilities
The 12 park-and-ride locations around the outskirts are ideal for motorists wishing to park in peace and visit Strasbourg for the day. A reasonably priced ticket allows all passengers (up to 7 people, including the driver) unlimited access to the CTS tram and bus network.
