The vast Christmas Tree – the 28-metre-tall centrepiece at the heart of the city – is the iconic symbol of Strasbourg, Capital of Christmas and a throwback to the traditions of yesteryear. Place Kléber and the façade of the Aubette building will be transformed into an enchanted, twinkling landscape, instantly evoking the magic of Christmas. Take a snapshot of yourself under the Tree and the “Strasbourg, Capital of Christmas” arch from the special-purpose selfie stage and take away an unforgettable keepsake of your visit.
This year’s tree comes from a forest near Mont Donon in the Vosges Mountains.

The Porte de Lumières
The Porte de Lumières – stunning and magical in gold and white, with two huge bears connected by a ring of lights – plunges visitors to Strasbourg into the magic of Christmas.
The giant Männele figures between red curtains guide visitors from the Porte de Lumières to the Christmas Tree, the iconic symbol of Strasbourg, Capital of Christmas in the heart of the city.
The blue tree
The famous 10-metre-high blue tree stands at Place Gutenberg, with its blue bear that children simply adore.
The decorated tree and the crystal-white tree
Discover a twinkling, 10-metre-high Christmas tree in front of the Rivetoile shopping centre.
And at Place des Halles, you’ll find a dazzling crystal-white tree standing 12 metres tall, with a stunning light show.
The giant chandelier
The giant chandelier, complete with magical, food-themed details, hangs on the corner of the Grand’Rue and Rue du Fossé-des-Tanneurs.
