Lit up by the many stars that brighten the city and those that shine in the eyes of children and adults and warm their hearts, a number of events have been scheduled from November 25. They take us back to our childhoods, when tales and legends roused our imaginations. “Let us share the magic” together this year in Strasbourg!
The historic Christkindelsmärik
The Christkindelsmärik tradition began on place Broglie in 1871. Ever since, it has continued to be the heart and soul of the Christmas market.
To learn more about the history of this Christ Child Market, discover the exhibition devoted to it and take a detour round the Town Hall in the center of the square.
This year, the façade of the historic Town Hall on place Broglie will be adorned with magical Christmas decorations. Come discover or rediscover this iconic building, illuminated and decorated in the colors of Christmas.

The Great Christmas tree
An essential symbol of Strasbourg Capitale de Noël, the Great Christmas tree towers majestically over the square. Find many exhibitors as well as the Sharing Village with close to 90 voluntary organizations that have always worked to promote the values of citizenship, solidarity and fraternity.

Four weeks to prepare for Christmas!
The countdown to Christmas has begun... the four weeks running up to the day are devoted to hectic preparations. The time is ideal for creating moments of sharing and conviviality. On this occasion, Louise Weiss Square and Suzanne Lacore Square will be transformed so that you can stroll through a magical setting.
Come to the Advent Village with your family or friends for a gourmet break, a workshop for your children, or a family-friendly show.
From November 25 to December 25 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Advent Village becomes the After-Christmas Village
Extend the wonderful festive time and see how you could best start the new year. Whether in the form of workshops or shows, there will be something for every resolution.

Come and discover or rediscover the traditional bredle, mannele and gingerbread made in Alsace for Christmas through the many activities and workshops offered during the Advent.
Children can attend a cooking and tasting workshop every Wednesday afternoon, on Place du Marché-aux-Poissons.

The OFF Market (The Fringe Market), Grimmeissen Square
Since 2016, more than thirty local businesses involved in responsible purchasing have been coming together to create an original and festive market.
Located in an unusual setting, the Marché OFF is a great place to exchange, recycle, hunt for antiques and invent a different, public-spirited and authentic Christmas.
Come and discover a varied program with concerts, talks, shows, workshops and activities linked to the environment, solidarity and home-crafting.

This year, the Christmas market of the indomitable small producers from Alsace will be located on Louise Weiss square in the Petite France. Come discover this original concept, where gastronomy goes hand in hand with creativity, friendship and a sense of community.
For over 20 years, about a dozen indomitable small producers from Alsace have been giving visitors a chance to know more about their passion for their trades, in the traditional colors of Christmas markets of years gone by.
Here, you will find products made in Alsace, a warm atmosphere and unique and authentic know-how that they will be glad to share with you.
