With its 300 stalls spread out over the city centre, Strasbourg's Christmas market is one of the oldest and biggest in Europe. Strasbourg, Capital of Christmas, continues the long tradition of Christmas in Alsace and in the market you'll find craft objects, regional produce and typical Alsatian Christmas decorations, within a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Christmas markets are waiting for you...

  • 25 November from 14.00 to 21.00
  • 26 November to 23 December from 11.00 to 20.00 every day
  • 24 December de 11h00 à 18h00

Fridays and Saturdays, the markets stay open until 21.00.

Place Broglie

The historic "Christkindelmärik" - market of the Infant Christ - exists since 1570 and is nowadays the traditional Christmas market of Strasbourg.

Come and find out how craftsmen practice their skills, with eye-catching demonstrations of their expertise. With a new craft on show every week at the associations' special stand, visitors can enjoy the authentic skills of friendly professionals from Strasbourg and Alsace.

Come along and taste the delicious food and wine brought to you by local bakers, winegrowers of the Couronne d'Or, Alsace foie gras producers, the Tribu des Gourmets d'Alsace and local beer brewers – all you'll need to make a merry Christmas, including Bredele Christmas biscuits, foie gras, Alsace wines and beers and also mulled Alsace white wine.

The Portuguese village offers a wide range of delicious rural produce, such as charcuterie, wine, craft beers, bolo rei, pasteis de nata, traditional cakes made for the Idanha-a-Nova Festival. Visitors looking for things other than food can wander round the many stands, which include embroidery from Castelo Branco traditional drums and guitars, filigree jewellery and ceramics, typical products of rich and varied Portuguese expertise and craftsmanship.

The OFF Market will be open from 1 to 24 December from 12.00 to 20.00, and until 21.00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

On 24 December, the OFF Market will close at 18.00.
